" Sheltered from the wind

I advance
I always slide a little more in my steps
I think I move on

Sheltered from the wind
How much time is left"

No Fall My Hand
Writer Amy Losi

Two women meet in a hospital ICU wing and strike up a conversation in the waiting room. Bola is a traumatized hospice nurse from Nigeria, and Beth is an older Jewish woman taking care of her ex-husband who is dying. The two women misunderstand each other and clash over their differences until they discover that they share a common history of spousal abuse. The women start to connect over their shared experiences. At the end of the play, they discover that their bond is even stronger than they had realized.

Newzapalooza!
Writer Larry Bliss

A hyperactive day at Newzapalooza, the newscast of low-rated TV station Channel 63. As the characters present the evening news, their private concerns are dwarfed by the simultaneous arrival of Hurricane Desi (the first Category 7 storm, capable of wiping out nearby planets) and Traffic Jam Edna (the first traffic jam to warrant its own name, so big it has created its own climate). The twin disasters destroy the station but spare the news team’s lives. The next morning, broadcasting resumes from the construction site of the new Channel 63.

Lockdown
Writer Brian Wallace

Victoria has a one-night stand with Elliot, not knowing he is married. They wake up to a city-wide quarantine due to a virus outbreak. She's trapped at his place, and his wife is on her way home. Whether she stays or leaves will be of profound consequence, and will determine what kind of people they really are.

“As a visual artist, I am personally and professionally invested in the concept of “art not just sitting on a wall” but being a functional asset within the home and global community.” -JP

I grew up in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio in the early to mid-1990s. I’ve traveled the world, done some amazing historical art and design work, and met some amazing people along the way. I’ve also been able to settle down in the great city of Raleigh, North Carolina. Eleven years ago, I made the move to the Raleigh area and made it my home. And every year, I learn so much about this area and its people. Throughout my career, I have been able to establish great partnerships with amazing partners that, as a result, have improved the environments of many public community areas.
